Chapter 12 – Meeting a Foe
After tonight, the fame of Tao Yao from the Divine Fragrance House with her dancing skills and beauty spread throughout the capital city. What Jin Yu didn’t expect was Senior Official Yang was very appreciative of Tao Yao’s orchid painting. In every poetry meeting, he would bring out the painting for the others to appreciate. One day, the third son of Imperial Censor Liu, Liu Yao grinned as he followed a fair young master inside. Jin Yu approached them with the usual smile, “Third Young Master Liu has not visit for such a long time. How do you have time today? Also, this person beside you is……”
Qin Tian’er didn’t manage to hide in time when she felt a warm human part touched her. Her body turned hot and she instantly roared angrily, “Get lost!”
Jin Yu was shocked of being shoved aside. She was a perceptive person so her eyes instantly saw a small hole on their ears. She quickly smiled, “Third Young Master Liu, this place is not suitable for people like her.”
Liu Yao laughed, “Young Master Qin is the one paying today. Surely you won’t decline a business chance?!”
Jin Yu held her chin high. No longer bother with the person beside them, she only focused on Liu Yao and purposely complained coyly, “Look at how you’re saying. There is no way one will say no to their customer. The ladies have been waiting for Young Master Liu. If only your imperial censor family is not too high ranking, we would have long sent people to invite you……” While saying, she had already escorted Liu Yao to the main hall.
Qin Tian’er was abandoned there. Her small face was motionless before she stamped her feet, “Liu Yao, how dare you leave me behind!”

Jiang Xiao Lou had just appeared and a big commotion had occurred. She had yet to speak when she heard a shout upstairs, “Jiang Xiao Lou!”
In this Divine Fragrance House, everyone called her Miss Tao Yao. When she heard these three words, Jiang Xiao Lou frowned. She looked upward. A youngster in white clothes was running down hurriedly.
That youngster had almond-shaped eyes and peachy cheeks. Her pair of pretty eyes were filled with thick anger.
Jiang Xiao Lou narrowed her eyes. For a moment she stood there without any reaction. Seeing her, Qin Tian’er felt a fire burning. She suddenly grabbed a cup of wine on a table beside her and threw it to Jiang Xiao Lou.
Xiao Die screamed while Jiang Xiao Lou merely turned her body. That cup fell onto the floor. The clear, colourless ** spilt and shocked all the guests in the hall.
Qin Tian’er was about to continue when Liu Yao appeared and stopped Qin Tian’er, “Tian’er, don’t make a scene!” He wore a red robe, had a jade crown binding his hair, his skin was very pale and his face was truly handsome. It was clearly an appearance of a wealthy man.
Jiang Xiao Lou glanced at the shattered cup on the floor and smiled lightly, “It has been a long time, is Young Miss Qin still well?”
Jin Yu rushed forward when she heard the commotion. Seeing the current situation, she paused while the other guests who were preparing to complain were surprised when they heard. These three people clearly knew each other. Not only that, there seemed to be a deep history between them too.

Qin Tian’er didn’t think Jiang Xiao Lou would openly reveal everything. She stood there, her face turning green and pale. Liu Yao was shocked, his white, handsome face darkened.
Jiang Xiao Lou smiled even more. Qin Tian’er is really just a double-faced thing, sweet-talking with evil intention and turning face at seconds, as for you Liu Yao——if you didn’t help Qin Si by teaching him to send me to Marquis Zi Yi, how can I ever fall to such situation?
Jin Yu realised the situation was bad and quickly tried to end this, “Young Master Liu, my Tao Yao has a bad temper, please don’t be angry of it! Please, to upstairs, I’ll repay you!” She said so humbly but there was no fear on her face. Liu Yao was not Senior Official Yang. Her Divine Fragrance House wouldn’t think too much about him.
“What please, such a filthy place, I don’t even want to stay a moment!” Qin Tian’er pushed aside Liu Yao and strode outside. When she passed by Jiang Xiao Lou, she tried to slap her, Jiang Xiao Lou took a small step aside and grabbed Qin Tian’er’s hand.
Qin Tian’er angrily said, “What are you trying to do?”
Hitting people was a type of skill. Hitting until blood splattered around without any scream, hitting until they wished for death was the real deal. Under the watch of the crowds, she had to play the distressed one until the end. She would hold onto this debt first. Jiang Xiao Lou’s lips arched as she let go.
Qin Tian’er awkwardly pulled back her hand. She wanted to call the guards behind her to teach her a lesson but seeing the people in the hall were staring like a predator at her, she knew her family reputation would be in trouble if she caused a scene. She held back her temper and snorted, “Just you wait!” Then she left with the bodyguards.
Liu Yao was about to follow her when Jin Yu stopped him with a smile, “Young Master Liu, will you not have a drink first before leaving?”
Liu Yao turned around and looked. He saw Jiang Xiao Lou stared at him with a smile under the candlelight. There was no anger in her eyes, they were calm as water. Immediately his heart tightened and as if he was possessed, “Alright, but Miss Tao Yao have to serve me a cup of wine!”
Liu Yao was the playboy among playboys. On the outside he appeared gentleman but he was rotten to the core. These words, it was clear he didn’t have a good intention!
Before going upstairs, Jin Yu stared at Jiang Xiao Lou and reminded her sternly, “He is after all the son of Imperial Censor Liu, don’t you dare make a scene in my place!”
Jiang Xiao Lou’s legs paused. With a fake smile, “Sister Jin Yu, what are you talking about?”
Jin Yu smirked, “I’m not a muddleheaded. From the first day you entered Divine Fragrance House, others may not know your history but I know everything about it. I know you have some grudges with these people but my place is a business place. It’s fine if you’re earning money for me. Jiang Xiao Lou grinned after hearing her, “Don’t worry. I will never make a scene with these people in Divine Fragrance House nor cause trouble for you. But……”
Jin Yu knitted her eyebrows, “What but?”
Jiang Xiao Lou’s pair of clear eyes turned sharp, “But what if it has nothing to do with Divine Fragrance House——”
Jin Yu’s lips moved and she revealed a smiling face, “As long as it has nothing to do with Divine Fragrance House, killing or burning is none of my concern. But, you’re not stupid. Jiang Xiao Lou confidently stared back at Jin Yu, “So what if it’s the land under the emperor’s watch?”
Jin Yu was shook by her calm eyes but her voice was harsh, “I’m just reminding you. The so-called land under the emperor’s watch, a lowly one like you have no place to complain even if you’re full of grief. On the other hand, if that Young Master Liu inside has one hair missing, you’ll be dead!”
Jiang Xiao Lou was not as angry as Jin Yu thought. Her eyes remained calm, “Who said I want to kill him? I’m just a weak harmless girl with low status, how can I possibly kill a nobleman? Sister Jin Yu looks too highly of me.”
Jin Yu softly sighed. Now she had kind tone, “That’s good then. Come with me and serve a cup of wine. With this, we’ll end this enmity with a smile!”
End the enmity with a smile? Jiang Xiao Lou’s lips hooked up.
Because of these people, she had to endure the despise and bully of all people, was put into a coffin and barely survived. Now, these people dared to happily walked inside and wanted to end this with just a line and a smile.
No, absolutely not! She, Jiang Xiao Lou would never forgive these people who hurt her in this life and would not ask others for help.
Endure, wait and resolute. These were the key tricks Jiang Xiao Lou reminded herself nonstop.
How long she needed to wait before the chance appeared?
No one knew.
