Uhm….author, enough with describing how pretty Jiang Xiao Lou is, I know she’s pretty but I’m running out of ideas here (really especially when it’s the same four words in chinese but it’s just one word meaning in english)….also, I don’t think she’s the most tragic nor valiant FL….(two more to go)

Chapter 7 – Carrot-and-Stick Approach

Because the cold water valve was closed, the water with rose petals were starting to warm up and releasing hot air. The fragrance could be smell everywhere but the water was boiling and bubbles were popping. Li Xiang Lan was grabbed to the edge of the bathing pool. Jiang Xiao Lou with one hand held her neck. Her leg knelt at her waist to force her downward, ensuring she couldn’t move away. Her voice was cold as she said, “You have big guts to actually use this method to harm others.”

Li Xiang Lan’s face was pale white, she trembled as she said, “I……I don’t know, I didn’t do anything! Jiang Xiao Lou, don’t accuse me without evidence!”

Wouldn’t regret even before death? Jiang Xiao Lou grabbed her hair, forcing her to raise her face. With a swing of her arm, she gave her a fierce slap on her face. It was a clear, loud sound.

“Planning to harm the innocents, an unpardonable crime!”

The two maidservants had just ran inside when they heard the sound. They felt Jiang Xiao Lou sounded oppressive like an owl hooting in the midnight, causing others to feel a scarily cold in their heart.

Li Xiang Lan didn’t think Jiang Xiao Lou would really get physical. Five finger-marks quickly appeared on the white, smooth face. She got furious and shouted, “Someone come! Jiang Xiao Lou is crazy! Someone come!”

Fei Cui immediately stepped forward to save her mistress. Jiang Xiao Lou shot her a warning glare, “One more step and I’ll push your young miss down!”

Fei Cui was scared and didn’t dare to make hasty move for now.

Jiang Xiao Lou made a smile. Looking at Xiao Tie, she told her, “Close the door.”

Xiao Tie didn’t know what to do. She stood at the same place for a long time without moving. Jiang Xiao Lou didn’t make a ruckus but a storm was brewing in her eyes, “Do you think you can escape from the matter today?”

Jin Yu told her to watch Jiang Xiao Lou. Of course she couldn’t let her get into troubles. Furthermore, the battle between these ladies were countless. If the incident today became big, Li Xiang Lan and Jiang Xiao Lou wouldn’t be punished but Fei Cui and she would surely not get away with it. If only Jiang Xiao Lou had a method to shut Li Xiang Lan’s mouth! Xiao Tie bit her lips, turning around she went and locked the door.

Li Xiang Lan looked in disbelief as Xiao Tie locked the door. She tried to escape from her hands, “Jiang Xiao Lou, you can’t punish me in private! You had just arrived a few days ago, everything must be informed to Sister Jin Yu if you have problem!”

Looking at her appearance, Jiang Xiao Lou couldn’t help but to shake her head and laugh, “Previously when I arrived in the house, you tried to sow all sorts of misunderstandings in front of Jin Yu. Today, I’m just avoiding your trap in advance yet you’re blaming me. Do you really think I’m a softie?!” Without waiting for Li Xiang Lan to react, she already pushed her face near that hot, boiling water.

“Do you know, at first I’m not interested with those tricks of yours. You’re the one who hand out yourself to me!”

Fei Cui moved but noticing Jiang Xiao Lou’s sharp glare, all her movements stopped. She didn’t dare to come nearer.

When Jiang Xiao Lou was forced past the extreme, the feelings she unleashed were akin to fire explosion. That well-trained elegance and kind young lady air disappeared completely. What came out was instead a swift, murderous look. That wrath she held inside was to pay back all the previous debts. When she decided to cast away that old, weak Jiang Xiao Lou that anyone could trample, she was filled with resolution. All of these were due to these people!

Whoever tried to stop her would be her foe.

Li Xiang Lan’s scalp felt as if it was ripped by that strength. She never thought Jiang Xiao Lou a small girl would have this crazy strength. No matter how she struggled, she couldn’t escape. She was so pained that her tears were dropping. She tried softening her voice, “Jiang Xiao Lou, Jiang Xiao Lou! I’m sorry! I’m really sorry! I didn’t mean to——”

“Didn’t mean to? That’s mean you’re genuine about it!” Jiang Xiao Lou’s beautiful face was currently cold and ruthless, it was dripping with absolute cruelness.

I’m sorry? What was the use of I’m sorry? After planning to burn her to death, would saying ‘I’m sorry’ be enough for a pardon?! She no longer willing to listen others apologising to her. Everyone would commit mistakes but some mistakes could never be forgiven. Jiang Xiao Lou’s smooth face turned icy cold. She appeared well-behaved and weak but it was a violent rage on her face, making others cowered before her. She pushed Li Xiang Lan’s face closer to the boiling water and said, “Just now, if I’m inside the pool, none of my skin will be still fine. Now, I should let you have a taste of it. Young Miss Xiang Lan, next time you must remember, don’t ever try to provoke me.”

Saying so, half of Li Xiang Lan’s face was about to enter that hot, boiling water. Li Xiang Lan screamed in panic, her lower body lost control as she wet her skirt. Her screams were about to pierce through the roof.

Fei Cui shrieked and shook as she knelt on the floor. She did her best to crawl over and stopped Jiang Xiao Lou as she frantically asked for mercy.

Upon seeing how sorry Li Xiang Lan was, Jiang Xiao Lou snickered and loosened her hands. Li Xiang Lan soon fell onto the floor. She held her left face as she cried nonstop. That mesmerising face though didn’t touch that boiling water was already burning red with blisters all over.

“For the sake of personal desire and venting, you are willing to harm others’ life. This time I’m just giving you a small lesson. If you dare to mess around again, I have a big present specially prepared for you!”

Jiang Xiao Lou stressed on each word, saying very slowly. The usually soft voice was now full of strength.

Li Xiang Lan rolled her eyes upward and instantly lost consciousness! Jiang Xiao Lou apathetically said to those two statue-alike maidservants, “Alright. Now go and report to Jin Yu.”

After the news was released, Jin Yu was away so she couldn’t return instantly. Inside Li Xiang Lan’s room, her maidservant Fei Cui was kneeling on the floor in trembles.

Li Xiang Lan was still unconscious. Half of her face burned with blisters, it was a horrifying sight.

The physician treated her once before sighing, “Young Miss’s life is not harmed but she must recuperate in silence, take medicines properly, cannot get emotional suddenly as well as going outdoor. Else……I’m afraid she’ll have to bear with scars for her lifetime.”

Jiang Xiao Lou wasn’t so shocked about it, “Many thanks to physician.”

After the physician left, Li Xiang Lan abruptly woke up. She saw a figure was sitting behind the curtain. With a weak looking body, smooth and beautiful face, it was exactly that Jiang Xiao Lou who was burning with murder intent. Her heart trembled in fear as she shouted, “Scram! Scram out! Scram out now! Someone come!”

“If I’m you, I won’t be this misbehave.” Jiang Xiao Lou drank the tea and lightly smiled.

Li Xiang Lan hatefully said, “I will definitely tell Sister Jin Yu, let her——”

“You’re the one who planned to kill me. I was planning to cover it for you. Since it’s like this, I don’t see the necessity of it. Say, if Jin Yu realise there is a chance your face will never heal, how will she treat you? Will she spent great amount of money to treat you or chase you out immediately? Hehe, I want to know too.” Jiang Xiao Lou calmly talked.

Li Xiang Lan stared at one before her in shock. Currently, Jiang Xiao Lou’s face was clearly beautiful but her eyes were filled with coldness and murder intent, making her chest tightened.

Jiang Xiao Lou lightly laughed and said, “Li Xiang Lan, I’m very generous usually.”

Li Xiang Lan’s gritted teeth were shaking, “You……you crazy b*tch!”

Jiang Xiao Lou’s smile returned to normal, “Look at you. We’re just talking a few words, why are you scared like this?!” She suddenly put down the tea cup at the side and sat on the bed. She approached Li Xiang Lan, her eyes narrowed slightly and a soft smile bloomed, “Sister Xiang Lan, from today onward we have to interact nicely!”

Li Xiang Lan looked at her eyes in fear. Jiang Xiao Lou seemed as if she had turned into another person.

Cold, savage, making others shaking in fear. When looking into her eyes, she couldn’t see any emotion.

Li Xiang Lan cautiously scrambled backward.

Jiang Xiao Lou suddenly raised her hand. Li Xiang Lan retreated backward in horror. Her white hand landed on her shoulder and patiently smooth out the creases on her white middle garment as she softly said, “What are you afraid of, if I want your life, I can just push you into the bubbling water earlier. Relax, I’ll let you stay and watch properly.”

“Watch……watch what……” Li Xiang Lan’s voice trembled crazily.

“As for what to watch, you’ll understand one day.” Jiang Xiao Lou’s smile turned even vibrant. Her voice too was unusually soft but Li Xiang Lan was so scared her body was trembling.

It was at this moment that a commotion occurred outside. Jin Yu quickly entered. She had just returned into the house when she heard this terrible news. Her face turned anxious, “Xiang Lan, what happened to you?!”

Jiang Xiao Lou perfect lips curved slightly, revealing a faint smile.
